Just to market is a fully re-designed replacement rear step/towbar for the 80 Series Land Cruiser. The most obvious change visible is the more rounded look of the bar, suiting the modern styling of the vehicle.

The inclusion of LED signal lights bring the expected long life and low power benefits of LED technology but also incorporate bright white reversing lights on both sides of the bar. The LED lights are fully sealed against both weather and dust and highly resistant to damage from vibration when taken through off-road conditions.

Less obvious to the eye, though a fabulous innovation, is the addition of gas struts to assist the opening and holding open of the carrier arms when loaded with heavy spare wheels or full jerry cans. Once fully open a carrier hold open lock can be engaged for additional support on steep ground.

To improve both safety and comfort the carrier arm locking handles are rubber dipped to give an overall non-slip finish and give un-gloved hands protection from cold, heat and uncomfortable handle edges.
Finished with zinc electroplating for corrosion protection and powder coated in black the bar matches in with the styling of the Land Cruiser and is an investment for the lifetime of the vehicle.

Existing accessories remain compatible – UHF/HF Aerial bracket, Hilift Jack Bracket, Telescopic Work Light Bracket, Jerry Can and Spare Wheel carriers and so on.
