Why invest in a Kaymar Rear Bar?
Modern vehicles are manufactured to meet cost and production criteria satisfactory for the needs of the average buyer.
The greater demands of off road and long haul use requires the replacement of some of the more cosmetic fittings with harder wearing and more practical accessories.
Replacement of the standard rear bumper with a Kaymar bar/step carrier system improves several aspects of a vehicle’s performance configuration and overall carrying practicality.
More than 30 years proven design and manufacturing excellence and reliability building rear bars and accessories for outback travellers throughout Australia and now exporting across the world.
Protection and clearance
Beginning with toughening the rear end of a vehicle with steel protection the replacement bars are also designed to maximise the departure angle clearance - in most instances improving it over a factory standard vehicle.
Spare wheel capacity
Two carrier pivots are provided on all replacement bars enabling the fitting of two swing open carriers for carrying a combination of spare wheels and/or jerry cans - depending on the vehicle body style. The ability to safely carry and easily access multiple spare wheels can be a life saver for bush drivers.
Design and manufacture
Designed and manufactured in Australia.
Each bar in the product range is custom designed at Kaymar’s plant in Lilydale, Victoria to suit specific vehicle models ensuring the most effective fit to the body style and importantly to gain the maximum mounting strength by matching the bar fixing brackets to all available chassis mounting points. Working prototypes are thoroughly road tested and load approved ahead of going into production.
The manufacturing process involves robotic welding stations, high tech laser cutters and expert operators, welders and finishers to turn out precision made product every time.
Completion of every bar includes a comprehensive process of grinding and sanding to smooth all joints and edges followed by a quality inspection before heading into the protective zinc electroplating.
External finishing is completed by powder coating.
